I'm raising money for River Rowing Association's 10th Annual Pull with Purpose - Crestron Challenge. The River Rowing Association is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit community rowing program whose goal is to improve people's lives through the sport of rowing. We provide a safe environment for all members of our community to participate in a healthy, team-oriented activity that promotes fitness and camaraderie. To make rowing affordable to all, including middle school and high school youth, adults, adaptive athletes with disabilities, and those from low-income communities not typically exposed to rowing, we need fund-raisers such as this to cover a variety of costs - including the purchase of new equipment.

This year, we are lucky to have a generous matching grant of up to $15,000 from Crestron Electronics. If we can raise $15,000, we will receive the full match and the resulting $30,000 total will provide for new rowing shells that will help support all our efforts.

My goal is to raise $500.00. Any sized gift is greatly appreciated. All donations are tax-deductible.

RRA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and was founded in 2003 to make rowing accessible to all and to improve people's lives through the sport. This year we continue our expansion of programs for adaptive athletes and the newly established Nyack High School Rowing Club.

River Rowing’s 10th Annual Pull with Purpose Ergathon fundraiser will take place on Saturday, March 19, 2016, 8:30am-11:00am at the RRA Studio at 256 Main Street in Nyack. We expect to be joined by several prominent local politicians including New York State Senator David Carlucci.

Our goal is to raise $15,000 and it will be matched dollar for dollar through a generous matching gift from our corporate sponsor Crestron Electronics, a long time supporter of River Rowing.  The anticipated total of $30,000 will be used to purchase much needed equipment for our growing program.

Ergathon athletes will row from approximately 9:45am-10:45am.  Our athletes will row on Concept 2 Indoor Rowing Machines (ergometer) in teams of four and race against other teams to see how fast they can row 15,000 meters.

Collective participation is crucial and we hope each athlete will meet an individual fundraising goal of $250 to contribute towards their team goal of $1,000 prior to the matching gift.

All companies donating $100 or more will be recognized at the Ergathon. Our most generous donors will be recognized on a plaque at our Rockland Lake training facility:

Golden Oar Level: $2000+

Silver Oar Level: $1000+

Bronze Oar Level: $500+

Thank you for your support!!
